Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody!

I know I posted a look yesterday. But then I went and asked my boyfriend what kind of makeup would he like me to put on today. And he said: "don't put on your parrot makeup". Hmm. By this he meant the brighter things I do with greens and bright purples. He wanted me to look more natural.

Be careful what you wish for. Because today I'm wearing a very natural look. I think I'm going to liven it up a bit with a brighter lipstick.

Not a Parrot look

Meow Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Himalayan
Meow Concealer in Inquisitive Chausie
Meow Top Cat finishing powder
Meow Crystalline Glow in Quartz (all over cheekbones, under the blush)
Meow Lush Blush in A Lick And a Promise
UDPP
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Rapunzel Had Extensions (all over lid)
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Snow Leopard (outer vee and crease)
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Dior Diorshow Waterproof mascara in Black
Pout lip gloss in Pop My Bubble

I took this photo to show you that Rapunzel Had Extensions is NOT gold. It's a peachy pink with golden sheen. Almost in all the other pictures it looked just one-dimensional gold.

I just love these colours together. I know that they aren't the most wow-inducing but sometimes shimmery neutrals can look stunning. And I think these colours definitely fall into that category. Taupe isn't my favourite colour but Snow Leopard is awesome. The golden sheen, the silkiness...

Yep, I haven't brushed my hair. Note to self: brush your hair before taking pictures to your blog. I like how this look turned out. I know it's a bit TOO natural but I'm going to change my lippie. Pout's lip things are great and this shade is supposedly Kylie Minogue's favourite lip gloss shade. Go figure. I love the blush. A Lick And a Promise is my favourite blush shade (which you already know if you have checked out my other looks) because it's close to the shade of red my cheeks naturally have when I get flushed. It's not too cool and not too gaudy. It's glowy but not too shimmery. Go check out Meow's Lush Blushes, I'm sure there's a shade for everyone.

I think my posing has improved :D

Have a beautiful Valentine's Day! Hugs and kisses for all of you! <3

Hhhmmm, or maybe I should do a natural look for the valentine's and copycat "parrot" look later. And I think I have to get that blush your wearing... ;)

Ooooh, I like how you paired Rapunzel Had Extensions with Snow Leopard! Yeah, Snow Leopard is all kinds of awesome and it surprised me to love it.

I actually think you look lovely with this natural look, even if you (and me) both prefer brigher looks!

A Lick and a Promise looks like a perfect natural flush on you, as it doesn't compete with your lips or eyes or hair.

I hope you two have a wonderful day together :)

*hug*

rofl @ "parrot makeup". My bf actually likes parrot makeup. If I let him pick my eyeshadow, he'll always pick something bright.

I think you look lovely with this natural look!

Phyrra: I know! Snow Leopard is the most gorgeous taupe. Ever.

I had a bit of a hard time with this look because I'm not that used to natural looks. When you have more colour, you can cheat the eye to ignore things you don't want to be seen.

I love A Lick and a Promise. And I like to use Quartz crystalline with it. The minerals are so finely milled that they never look too glittery.

Pixie: Thank you! The strange thing is that my boyfriend likes dramatic eyemakeup. You know, like smoky eyes. But he doesn't seem to like greens and yellows. Although now he says that he only said the parrot thing to tease me. But who knows? :D
