This is your last chance to try out the Spring Solstice collection! The colours look fabulous. I'm going to try the shade Alyssum because it looks shiny yet delicate. I think it'll bring out my green peepers.

The collection is on sale until April 7th so you still have a week left! Also, the shades from the collection are on -25% discount so you shouldn't miss this opportunity. Aromaleigh has a great value and their products are topnotch. International customers! If you spend less than $40, be sure the choose the last shipping option from the dropdown on checkout! Too Dolly + Japan FOTD
I told you I had bought MAC's Hello Kitty stuff. I love Too Dolly palette so I finally decided to use the name colour for a bit more daring look. Too Dolly is a slightly shimmery turquoise colour. I paired it with Fyrinnae's Japan, a blackened teal. Keeping up the Hello Kitty theme, I put Big Bow on my lips (another pink with blue shimmer).
Too Dolly + Japan
Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Himalayan
Meow Cosmetics blush in Tickled Pink
UDPP as a primer (on upper lids)
MAC eyeshadow in Yoghurt (as a highlighter below brow)
MAC eyeshadow in Too Dolly (on upper lid)
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Japan (on outer vee, crease and lower outer corner)
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Dior Diorshow Waterproof mascara in Black
MAC lipstick in Big Bow
I think Japan goes perfectly with Too Dolly. I once tried Japan with Fyrinnae's Velociraptor (a chartreuse shade) and it was a bust.
This was a disastrous morning for photos. I did try to put on a little attitude :) I love Big Bow, it really plumps up my lips (okay, they are quite plump to begin with..). I know I could've gone more wild but as this is my day look today I didn't want to go too far.
Oh god, the hair. Just don't say anything. Pretend it isn't there.
Too Dolly palette is still available in Finland so if you want it, go grab it. Big Bow is unfortunately sold out but you may still get it on eBay.

Shinkirou and Meerkat FOTD
Shinkirou and Meerkat FOTD
Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Himalayan
Lime Crime blush in Marie Antoinette
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Shinkirou (inner half of upper lid)
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Meerkat (outer half of upper lid)
MAC Fluidline liner in Blacktrack (upper lash line)
Dior Diorshow Waterproof mascara in Black
MAC Dazzlegloss in Dazzlepuss
I think Shinkirou and Meerkat go great together as they both have that golden shimmer. Meerkat is a lovely colour. It's fun, vibrant but very usable. It's almost the same shade as Darling Misfit from Fyrinnae.
I struggled to get a picture at all. It's very bright outside and I had to take photos at our balcony and the sun came from the most inconvenient angle for me. But I thought this pic was the prettiest of the bunch :) What you CAN see is that Meerkat really brings out my eyecolour.
Dazzlepuss lipgloss is from MAC's Hello Kitty Kouture line. It isn't sold in Finland nor will it be, which is a bummer. I have never used dazzlegloss before and it's sticky. Very glittery but sticky. I think I like lipglasses a bit better.
Spring, here we come!

Anemone
The golden shimmer is very subtle but it's enough to save this colour from being boring. Actually, I couldn't wear this kind of shade without the gold because it would make me look anemic. The real challenge with this shade for me was to find a lippie that would give enough colour but not overpower Anemone. I have one orange lipgloss so I decided to put it in good use.
Electro Flash Orange may sound wild and it looks really orange in its container but it gives just a little bit of sparkly orange colour.
I really like Anemone but I'm not sure if I'm going to use it that much. I only picked up a sample so I have time to think about turning it to a longer relationship :)
I'm going out for a sushi lunch today so I think this is a great look for the occasion. It reminds me of Disney's Little Mermaid which was my favourite animation film when it came out because the heroine was a redhead. I actually had a Flounder plushie to complete my fantasies of being a mermaid. Yes, I have had issues even as a child....
So, what do you think about Anemone?

Going green
So I decided to take a shower and do a look. It has been a while since I've posted anything of mild interest so I wanted to show you how Fyrinnae's Envy Me looks like since I raved about it in my last post. Also I missed St Patrick's Day so are there any better excuses to do a green look? No.
Going green look
Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Himalayan
Fyrinnae Glow Blush in Enrapture
UDPP as a primer on lids
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Envy Me (all over upper lid and as a liner on lower lid)
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in Strip Poker (outer vee and crease)
Fyrinnae eyeshadow in But I Like Frogs (wetlined on upper lash line)
Dior Diorshow Waterproof mascara in Black
Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Lollipop-Pop
Here you can see how lovely the sheen of Envy Me is. I just love it. It changes a bit according to how the light hits it. In its jar it looks taupe which threw me off a bit but on skin it's pure green gorgeousness.
I think Strip Poker looks okay but it's orange/coppery sheen isn't that visible. You can see it on the jar but as soon as it's applied, the shimmer is gone. And I don't blend my Fyrinnae, I always pat them on. But I Like Frogs is a great liner, it really brightens up the eyes. Take note girls: if you're hung over and your eyes are really red and you look like you probably eat brains for breakfast, put on some blue or green eyeliner.
I like how this look turned out. I chose Lollipop-Pop for the lips because it has blueish shimmer which is great if you want to plump up your lips. And I really like Fyrinnae's Glow Blush. A little goes a very long way: it's highly pigmented and a bit matte.
If you haven't tried Fyrinnae's Lip Lustres I would recommend you to do it. They are like lip stains but they're very moisturizing and their stay-on power is great. There are also many shades from girly pinks to blue and black.

Fyrinnae swatches ;)
Okay, so Fyrinnae. First of all, they have two new collections at the moment. The other one doesn't have a name (or a clear theme) and it's a bit disappointing BUT today they posted their Mad Tea Party collection that's very fresh and colourful. I already made my order so now I just have to wait. But here's some swatches of my most recent hauls.
Strip Poker, Fish & Chips and BBQ sauce are all from the unnamed spring collection. I like Strip Poker but by now means it is blue. It's a light green colour and the orange/coppery shimmer is barely noticeable. But I think it will make a nice crease colour with a light green.
This is the only pic of that night's look that I can actually post. I didn't have light and the less photographic side of me decided to take the wheels.
I think the eyes came up nicely. I hadn't had the time to practice so I was a bit nervous. I actually put scotch tape on the sides of my outer corners so that the 'wings' would be as symmetrical as possible. Mind you, ripping scotch tape off your eye area is painful!
I love the shirt I was wearing that evening. It's a bit snug and Simo said that I look like Victorian schoolteacher wearing Converse trainers. I took it as a compliment :)
So, check out Fyrinnae's Mad Tea Party collection! I'm getting samples of Cheshire Cat Grin, Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat, Curiouser and Curiouser!, Painted Roses, Ravens and Writing Desks, Nonsense! and Looking Glass. What about you?
